Virtus Bologna: Alex Mumbrù Expected in Town; One Piece Still Missing from the Roster

The new Virtus Bologna roster is nearly complete. Alex Mumbrù, who will serve as head coach of the V Nere starting this year, is expected in Bologna in early August. He’s eager to embark on this new adventure and get to know the entire roster.
Speaking of the roster, following the departure of Luca Vildoza (to Partizan Belgrade), only one more addition is needed to complete the team for the 2026–27 season.
General Manager Paolo Ronci is working to identify the right fit. What’s certain is that it will be a guard or forward. Several names are circulating, but it’s not necessarily going to be a player who hasn’t yet been mentioned by the media.
Alex Mumbrù has been working tirelessly alongside General Manager Paolo Ronci. In fact, the decisions made have been fully agreed upon by all parties involved.
