A move in true Jannik Sinner style. After deciding to skip the Montreal Masters 1000 to better prepare for the season’s next major event—the U.S. Open—the world No. 1 has decided to return to where it all began.

These days, as he alternates between training and mental rest, the South Tyrolean has returned to San Candido, where, to everyone’s surprise, he appeared on the clay courts where he began his long journey to the top of world tennis.

“We’re proud to have the world No. 1 back on our courts. From his roots here in the Dolomites all the way to the top of world tennis, it’s always special to see Jannik Sinner return to the place where his journey began. It’s great to have you back in San Candido, Jannik,” read the message from the 3 Zinnen Club in San Candido.

Yet another demonstration of how deeply Jannik Sinner is connected to his past and the places where he grew up. From the grass of Wimbledon to the clay courts of San Candido, he always carries the humility of a one-of-a-kind champion. Those present at the 3 Zinnen Club experienced a special, unforgettable, and unique moment.
