Milan: The transfer market is picking up; the latest target is dividing the fan base. Who is Dario Osorio?

After the big initial signing of Gonçalo Ramos for 75 million euros and the arrival of Mario Gila from Lazio, Milan’s transfer campaign has essentially come to a standstill. Several players have been linked to the Rossoneri, but so far the club’s transfer team has not made a move, partly due to the difficulty in offloading surplus players from Ruben Amorim’s squad.

In the last few hours, things have started to pick up, even if the new name has divided the fanbase. According to rumors, the Milan club has set its sights on Dario Osorio, a versatile winger capable of playing both as a winger and as a fifth midfielder. Born in 2004, Osorio is owned by Midtjylland and fits perfectly into the profile of a player capable of covering the entire wing that Ruben Amorim is looking for. The name is sparking debate among fans on social media, but Milan could soon make a move for him. Relations between the Milan club and Midtjylland are good, and the Danish team’s coach is former Rossoneri defender Simon Kjaer.

Osorio has been a member of the Chilean national team since 2022, with a total of 25 appearances for his country. A product of the Universidad de Chile youth academy, he is valued at around 15–20 million euros and had already been targeted by the Rossoneri in the past, when Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara were still with the club.

As for Rafael Leao, the chances are increasing that the player will remain at Milan, at least for the upcoming season. After the 1-1 summer derby draw against Inter in Perth, Amorim publicly reaffirmed his commitment to the Portuguese player: “Leao is part of the project,” the coach stated. But the situation remains fluid: Galatasaray has presented the No. 10 with an offer of 12 million net per season, while Gerry Cardinale values him at 60 million and has no intention of offering a discount.
