Juventus Transfer Market: Gleison Bremer Has Made a Decision About His Future

Gleison Bremer quashes transfer rumors and reaffirms his desire to stay at Juventus. From the Bianconeri’s headquarters in Perth, set up for the Australian tour, the Brazilian defender spoke to *La Gazzetta dello Sport*, categorically denying rumors that he had requested a transfer.

“I haven’t asked Juve to let me go. Especially at a difficult time—both for the club and for me—it would never occur to me to do that. It would be like running away. If one day I part ways with Juve—perhaps when I’m a bit older—I’ll walk out the front door with my head held high,” the center back stated.

After missing the Club World Cup with Brazil without seeing any playing time, Bremer is ready to reclaim a leading role in the Bianconeri’s defense. His season debut came in the friendly against Chelsea, and the defender said he was satisfied with his condition: “I’m feeling good. Obviously, I’m not at my best yet, since I started preseason training later than usual. But I’ll be back in top form soon; I feel like I’m on the right track.” On his experience with the Seleção, he added: “It was still a great experience. The silver lining is that everything is going well now; my body is responding as it should: I can tell because my recovery from exertion is much faster than it was in recent months. The Brazilian explained that the most difficult part wasn’t the injury itself, but returning to the field after months of inactivity: “The worst part wasn’t the injury but the post-recovery phase, after nine months. When I came back, I was convinced it was all behind me; instead, it was just the beginning of another journey—the one that would bring me back to being the player I was before. I’m sure I’ll reach that goal. But I’m only sure of that today. It wasn’t always like that.”
