Jannik Sinner takes comfort in the fact that he’s tennis’s richest player: the Top 10 richest players

Jannik Sinner is the highest-paid tennis player in the world over the past twelve months. This is confirmed by the ranking published by Forbes, which takes into account both earnings from on-court performance and those from commercial deals and sponsorships. The No. 1 player in the ATP rankings is ahead of Carlos Alcaraz, while a surprising Serena Williams takes the third spot on the podium.

The South Tyrolean star earned a total of approximately $58 million, of which $23 million came from tournament winnings and another $35 million from off-court activities. This figure allows him to claim the top spot on the financial leaderboard as well, after having dominated the sports rankings for months.

Behind him is Carlos Alcaraz, who earned $53.7 million over the past year. The Spaniard, however, can take comfort in a special distinction: he is, in fact, the player with the highest earnings from activities outside of tennis. His “off-court” earnings total approximately $38 million, while those earned directly on the court amount to $15.7 million.

The most intriguing position on the list is probably that of Serena Williams, who ranks third with a total of $40.1 million. The American has earned just $100,000 through her on-court performance, while a full $40 million comes from off-court activities. This figure highlights, above all, the commercial clout of one of the greatest champions in tennis history, who maintains enormous appeal for sponsors and brands even beyond her competitive career. Aryna Sabalenka takes fourth place with $36.1 million, while Coco Gauff rounds out the top five with $35.5 million.

Novak Djokovic ranks only sixth, having earned $30.2 million over the past year. The Serbian, however, continues to be one of the most lucrative names in the global tennis scene, thanks primarily to his commercial earnings. The top 10 also includes Qinwen Zheng, Iga Swiatek, Alexander Zverev, and Elena Rybakina.
