Venice on a roll: three signings on the final day of the transfer window. New players from Genoa and Naples

Venice has been very active on the final day of the summer transfer window: the club from Venice is about to pull off a sensational signing on the wing. Brooke Norton-Cuffy is on his way from Genoa: the Venetians are reported to have reached an agreement with the Grifone for a fee of 14 million euros plus the loan of Richie Sagrado to the Rossoblù.

But the orange-and-green club isn’t stopping there: in the coming hours, the signing of former Napoli defender Juan Jesus will also be made official. The 35-year-old Brazilian defender, a former Italian champion with the Azzurri, will join the Venice-based club on a free transfer, having beaten out competition from Atalanta, which had tried to enter the race in the last few hours.

A one-year contract through 2027 awaits Juan Jesus, with an option to renew for an additional season, at approximately one million euros per year. Also arriving from Napoli is winger Pasquale Mazzocchi, who was no longer part of Massimiliano Allegri’s plans.

The player had been excluded from the Serie A roster following Favasuli’s arrival and is ready to relaunch his career in Venice: the two clubs have reached an agreement based on a loan with an obligation to buy should the team avoid relegation. “Venezia FC announces that it has acquired defender Pasquale Mazzocchi from SSC Napoli on loan through the end of the 2026/27 season, with an option and an obligation to purchase should certain conditions be met,” reads the announcement from the Venetian club.
