Milan Transfer Market: Last-Minute Push for the Defender. Tomori Set to Leave

Time is running out for Milan: in the final hours before the summer transfer window closes, the Rossoneri will try to make one signing and one departure to shore up and strengthen the defense at Ruben Amorim’s disposal.

On the very last day, an offer from Fulham arrived for Fikayo Tomori. As is well known, the English defender is not part of the Portuguese coach’s plans and has been asked to transfer to another club. At the moment, however, the center back has rejected all options, and his situation is at a standstill. Now Fulham has expressed interest, which would allow him to return to the Premier League to relaunch his career. If Tomori were to leave, Milan could make a move for Tiago Gabriel: further talks are expected later today between the Milanese club and Lecce. Amorim has requested a new defender to boost the team’s quality, and the Rossoneri’s management is trying to speed up negotiations as the transfer window draws to a close.

Lecce has set a price of 25 million euros for the Portuguese player born in 2004, while Milan remains firm at its offer of 20 million euros. Gabriel himself is pushing for a move to Milan. Several wealthy Premier League clubs are also interested in him and could make a last-minute bid. Also on the final day of the transfer window, Milan will try to offload midfielder Youssouf Fofana, who is being tracked by several English clubs and, in Italy, by Juventus and Roma.
