Since 2010, he has consistently played every World Cup match for Japan, confirming how important the current FC Tokyo outfielder is to the Japanese national team. No one in Japan’s history had ever participated in four World Cups. For the 36-year-old Nagatomo, who has been seen in Europe in the jerseys of Cesena, Inter Milan, Galatasaray and O.Marseille, this is a historic milestone that is hard to beat.
