Carolina Morace fires back at Roberto Vannacci: “Reread the Constitution”

Carolina Morace fired back at Roberto Vannacci and took to social media to do so. “Roberto Vannacci wrote: ‘Dear homosexuals, you’re not normal—get over it.’ ‘No, Vannacci, you’re the one who needs to get over it,’ the former champion began.
‘In Italy, there are no “normal” citizens and no “abnormal” citizens. There are people with the same dignity and the same rights. Our Constitution states: ‘All citizens have equal social dignity and are equal before the law.’ And that is precisely why I find it even more serious that Vannacci’s words come from someone who has had a long career in the Armed Forces of the Republic.”
“Being gay is not abnormal. If anything is abnormal, it is that, in 2026, a representative of the institutions still presumes to determine who is ‘normal’ and who is not based on whom they love. It is abnormal to think that people’s dignity can be put to a vote. It is abnormal to use differences to divide citizens. It is abnormal to forget the Constitution after having served the Republic for years.”
“So, General, before you explain to others what is ‘normal,’ try rereading Article 3 of the Constitution. P.S. Best wishes from a HAPPY FAMILY!” Morace concluded.
