Federica Brignone smiles: important new insights

Important new updates have emerged regarding Federica Brignone’s condition. The star athlete from Valle d’Aosta continues to work tirelessly to return to full competitive action, and to keep her fans updated, she is actively using social media, sharing every small step toward her long-awaited return to the slopes.
The two-time Olympic champion is currently undergoing treatment at J-Medical in Turin, where tennis sensation Jannik Sinner was also receiving treatment until just a few days ago: Brignone is continuing her recovery program following surgery in late August to remove the plate and screws from her left knee—a crucial step in a journey that began with the serious injury she suffered over a year and a half ago.
In her Instagram Stories, the Italian skier shows herself at work during particularly intense rehabilitation sessions. The images demonstrate that her recovery is entering an increasingly critical phase, with exercises that allow her to gradually increase the intensity of her workouts. By her side is Federico Bristot, head of the physical therapy team at J-Medical and a key figure in the process aimed at bringing Brignone back to the highest level.
In recent days, the champion from La Salle had already reassured fans and supporters by posting some photos from a short vacation in South Tyrol, accompanied by a lighthearted message: “First steps on my new leg.” This was a sign confirming the success of her second surgery.
Now the focus is on the coming weeks, which will be decisive in determining the actual timeline for her return to competition. The most ambitious goal remains to be at the starting line of the World Cup’s opening giant slalom, scheduled for October 24 in Sölden.
In any case, the main goal of the season remains the World Championships in Crans-Montana, scheduled for February 1–14, 2027. For Brignone, there is still a long road ahead, but the news coming out of Turin offers more than a glimmer of hope. The Italian champion continues to work with determination, aware of the steps she must take to return to full strength.
