The Granata are once again turning to Giuseppe Sannino for help

Giuseppe Sannino returns to the Bellinzona bench. The seasoned coach is the new head coach of the Granata and takes over for Francesco Pargalia, who was relieved of his duties after a particularly difficult start to the season.

For Sannino, this marks a return to a club he already knows well. In fact, the coach had previously led Bellinzona during the 2024–25 season, when he remained at the helm for ten matchdays and managed to secure the team’s survival. That relationship was then renewed during the following season, when the club brought him back.

Now the club from the Canton of Ticino has once again decided to rely on his experience to try to turn things around after a start to the season that has fallen well short of expectations.

Bellinzona currently sits in last place in the Promotion League. In the first eight matchdays, the Granata have managed just one win and one draw, while suffering six losses. Adding to their league struggles was their elimination from the Swiss Cup at the hands of Rotkreuz.

This situation led the club to part ways with Francesco Pargalia. Bellinzona has relieved the coach of his duties as head coach of the first team, while thanking him for his contributions during his time with the Granata.

In its statement, the club emphasized the professionalism, dedication, and commitment Pargalia demonstrated every day on the field.

The choice to turn the team around has therefore fallen on Sannino, a highly experienced coach with a deep understanding of Italian and Swiss soccer. He is tasked with turning around a team that got off on the wrong foot and trying to climb the Promotion League standings.

For Sannino, this marks the beginning of a new chapter in his history with Bellinzona, as he is once again called upon to step in at a critical moment in the Granata’s season.
