Djed Spence Sets a Date for Inter Fans; Debut Scheduled

Djed Spence remains something of a mystery to the Inter world. The English fullback, who arrived this summer from Tottenham for a fee of around 30 million euros, has yet to make his debut in the Nerazzurri jersey. What has slowed down the fullback from Tuchel’s national team is primarily the need to regain peak fitness after the World Cup, a tournament in which he played a starring role.

Now, however, Spence is rapidly approaching his debut. The Englishman chose to stay in Milan during the international break and has already circled a date on the calendar: October 10, when Inter will host Parma at San Siro. That could be his chance to finally introduce himself to his new fans.

Meanwhile, Djed continues to train at Appiano Gentile alongside the other injured players. The rest of the team not on international duty will return to training on Monday, and starting next week, Spence could finally rejoin the group—or at least what remains of it, given the large number of players called up.

A clue about him also came from social media. In a short video posted to his Stories, the emojis he used leave little room for interpretation: the word “soon,” accompanied by a spider and a spiderweb. These are symbols Spence borrowed from Spider-Man, his favorite superhero.
