Inter Transfer Market: Marotta Prepares Three Sensational Free Signings

Inter and Beppe Marotta are giving it another try: after building a large part of the roster through free-agent signings, the Nerazzurri president has once again turned his attention to the free-agent market, with an eye toward contract expirations in 2027.

According to Tuttosport, the hottest name is Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, whose contract with Napoli is set to expire and who could leave the Azzurri on a free transfer next June. The Cameroonian midfielder is considered the ideal player to round out the midfield—a profile with the qualities that Cristian Chivu has long been seeking.

According to rumors, Inter has also set its sights on Alex Meret, currently Napoli’s starting goalkeeper, whose contract also expires in 2027. At the moment, the Nerazzurri are relying on Jose Martinez and Provedel, and much will depend on how the two perform this season. Among the other interesting names on the Milan club’s radar is Mateo Kovacic, who has already played for Inter and could leave Manchester City in 2027.

Inter’s roster currently includes four top players who arrived on free transfers: Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Thuram, and Zielinski, while John Stones joined on a free transfer from Manchester this summer.
