Kickoff is at 8:45 p.m. on Friday for Hungary vs. Georgia, a match counting toward Matchday 3 of Group 2 in League B of the 2026–2027 Nations League. Both teams have one point: Hungary, after losing their opener to Ukraine, drew with Northern Ireland in Belfast; Georgia, on the other hand, lost their first match to the British side and then drew at home against the Ukrainian team.

Marco Rossi’s Hungary has yet to score in the first two matches of the competition, and the Italian head coach is looking for solutions: Lukacs is expected to start up front, with Jurek, Alex Tóth, and Szoboszlai behind him. In midfield: Schafer and Csongvai.

Georgia is expecting a standout performance from Kvaratskhelia, who has been overshadowed in the first two matches, during which Svanadze’s team failed to secure a win or score a goal. Joining him up front is Mikautadze, while Kochorashvili, Kiteishvili, and Chakvetadze will play in midfield.

Marco Rossi spoke optimistically at a press conference ahead of the match against Georgia: “If we had tied with Ukraine and beaten Northern Ireland, those would have been well-deserved results. We need to be faster and more precise with the ball,” explained the Italian coach, who has been leading the Budapest-based team since 2018.
