Juventus, a bit of an embarrassment. Kolo Muani disappoints again

A bitter friendly at the Continassa for Juventus, who lost 1-0 to Cremonese, coached by Fabio Pecchia—a former Juventus player—in the friendly played during the international break. The match was decided by a goal scored by Bonazzoli in the 12th minute, off an assist from Licina, who capitalized on a turnover by the young Amaradio.

For Luciano Spalletti, given the numerous absences, it was also an opportunity to experiment with some different lineups. Gatti was deployed as a fullback, while Cambiaso played in midfield in a playmaking role. Up front, however, Kolo Muani looked lackluster and failed to make an impact. Also worth noting were the debuts of Claudio Marchisio and Pablo Montero, who followed in their fathers’ footsteps.

To send Woltemade to Turin, Newcastle opted for a paid loan without an option to buy, postponing any discussions regarding a permanent transfer until next summer.

This decision, however, opens up a unique scenario: if Nick were to impress while playing for the Piedmontese club, it could become difficult for Juventus to secure the necessary funds to sign him outright.

It is still too early to determine an exact valuation, but the English club is unlikely to accept offers below 55–60 million euros, considering the 75 million invested to acquire him just a couple of summers ago.

Further complicating Juve’s plans is Bayern Munich, which is reportedly keeping an eye on Woltemade ahead of next season.
