Marco Bezzecchi is aiming high in Indonesia and isn’t giving up

Marco Bezzecchi is building on his podium finish at Motegi as he heads into the Indonesian Grand Prix with confidence. The Italian rider left Japan after a solid weekend, during which he added a podium finish in the main race to his sixth-place result in the Sprint race.
At Mandalika, the goal will be to confirm the level of competitiveness achieved with the RS-GP26 and try to rejoin the fight for the top positions. The characteristics of the Indonesian circuit—with fast corners, frequent direction changes, and hard braking—will serve as a new test for the Aprilia package.
Bezzecchi, however, heads into the race with a positive outlook, partly due to his particular fondness for the track. “I’m happy to be racing here in Indonesia; Mandalika is a track I really like,” he said on the eve of the weekend.
The result achieved in Japan provides a solid foundation, but the Italian doesn’t want to halt the progress he and the team have been making. “We’re coming here off a good race in Japan, so we’ll try to continue our work and keep improving.”
The plan is to start strong right from the first practice sessions and maintain a high level of performance throughout the weekend. “Our goal is to try to be competitive in every session on the track,” Bezzecchi concluded.
