Inter wants to beat everyone to the German defensive prospect: Barça and Real are among the obstacles

Inter will need at least 35-40 million euros to try to sign Finn Jeltsch, but the price set by Stuttgart isn’t the only obstacle. In fact, top-tier competition has already emerged for the young German defender: Barcelona is said to be among the clubs most interested, while Bayern Munich continues to monitor him closely. In recent hours, interest from Real Madrid has also reportedly surfaced.
Born in 2006, standing 188 centimeters tall, and right-footed, Jeltsch came up through the Nuremberg youth system before transferring to Stuttgart in January 2025 for 9.5 million euros, signing a contract through 2030. Last season, he established himself primarily as the right-back in Sebastian Hoeness’s 3-4-2-1 formation, making 37 appearances and helping the team qualify for the Champions League.
The 20-year-old has also seen consistent playing time so far this season across the Bundesliga and cup competitions. His versatility also allows him to be used as a center back.
The situation in Inter’s defense will, however, also depend on potential departures. Pavard stayed this summer, but his contract expires in 2028: without a renewal, the next summer transfer window could become a key moment for evaluating a potential sale.
