Jannik Sinner continues to remain tight-lipped about his condition following his decision to end the 2026 season early. This decision surprised fans and sparked debate about the future of the world No. 1, who was forced to skip the final events of the year to focus on recovering from an injury to his right knee.

Adriano Panatta weighed in on the matter, sharing his thoughts during the latest episode of *DS*, aired on Rai 2 HD: “We know nothing about Sinner; he’s shrouded in mystery. I get the feeling he might change coaches,” said the former Italian champion, fueling speculation about a possible change in the coaching staff for Italy’s No. 1.

Panatta also suggested a name that, in his opinion, could prove particularly well-suited to work alongside Sinner: “I think Paolo Bertolucci would be a good fit: he’s among the top five coaches; he could be very helpful to him.”

The former tennis player then reflected on the responsibilities involved in coaching a player of Sinner’s caliber, emphasizing just how unique such a role is. “Being Sinner’s coach is like a calling. I’m confident the situation will be resolved and he’ll be back in January for the Australian Open,” Panatta added.

Sinner’s priority, however, remains his physical recovery, with the goal of starting the new season in the best possible condition. Cahill’s possible departure and the Bertolucci speculation are, for now, merely scenarios to watch. The coming weeks will be crucial in determining whether, in addition to his return to the court, there will also be changes to the team supporting the Italian in 2027.
