The defeat against Lazio has left a heavy toll on Juventus. After the 0-3 loss at the Stadium, accompanied by boos from the fans, Gleison Bremer broke his silence and sent a direct message to his teammates. The Brazilian defender, who serves as the Bianconeri’s captain, made no secret of his disappointment with the team’s performance and singled out the character of certain players, especially during the toughest moments.

“The coach gives instructions, but we’re the ones who take the field: there are 11 players plus 5 substitutes, and I can’t carry everyone on my back,” Bremer told Sky. The Brazilian emphasized, in particular, the attitude shown by some of his teammates when faced with the pressure at the Stadium: “I can only go so far: some have more character and some have less; some hear the boos, hide, and get scared, while others don’t.”

This analysis became even more explicit when the defender addressed the issue of the many new arrivals on the team. “There are a lot of new players; it’s something we have to deal with. I don’t want to point fingers, but everyone has their own personality,” Bremer explained, before reiterating the point: “There are those who step up when things go wrong, and those who, on the contrary, hide.”

These words did not go unnoticed, and Luciano Spalletti responded immediately, also speaking to Sky: “It’s good that Bremer offers his analysis, but he’s just as much a part of the game as I am, so before we talk about the team, we need to talk about ourselves. Bremer isn’t exempt from tonight’s performance—he’s just as much a part of it as everyone else.”
