Virtus Bologna, Sergio Scariolo and the key against Zalgiris Kaunas
Scariolo reveals key to Euroleague match against Zalgiris
Virtus Bologna is preparing for the home challenge that, on the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 10, will see the Bologna team engaged against the Lithuanians of Zalgiris Kaunas, the new team of Italy’s Achille Polonara and currently in eighth place in Europe’s top club competition.
The coach of the Black Vu’s, Sergio Scariolo, presented the challenge speaking to the official channels of the Bolognese club: “Zalgiris is a club that has earned great respect in recent years, confirmed by the timeliness with which they managed to incorporate two excellent players a few days before the deadline of the membership and the assignment of the Final Four of the Euroleague. On the court they are a very difficult team to beat and their ranking confirms this, by virtue of a high level of physicality, which translates on the parquet into excellent defense and an ability to attack the iron by many players in different positions. I believe that rebounding will be a very important key in this game.”
