The first phase of the market closed on Monday, January 9.

On the evening of Monday, January 9, the first phase of the market for clubs that are participating in the Euroleague closed: as of this moment, in fact, transactions can no longer be made for players who have already played, this season, in the top European basketball competition.

Therefore, the second phase of the market has opened, in which clubs such as Olimpia Milano and Virtus Bologna will still be able to reinforce their rosters, but with players from other competitions or even with free agents who do not currently have a contract. This window will close on March 1. Despite this possibility, however, Virtus, in accordance with the words of the Vu Nere CEO Luca Baraldi a few days ago, will not look for other opportunities to reinforce unlike Olimpia, for whom we do not rule out a shot of lesser resonance.

Some clubs took advantage of the first market window until the very last like the Lithuanians of Zalgiris Kaunas, who treated themselves to two shots from two-time European champions Anadolu Efes: Achille Polonara and Isaiah Taylor.
