Valentino Rossi: “Sorry not to be at Assen to follow the team”

MotoGp makes a stop in Assen, the University of motorcycles and the kingdom of Valentino Rossi, who has won 10 times in his MotoGP career on the prestigious Dutch track. The Doctor in an interview with racesport.nl confessed a small regret ahead of next weekend: “I would have liked to come to Assen this year to follow MotoGP, my team, my brother and the VR46 riders. But unfortunately it is not possible, we have some tests with the WRT team.”

“The layout of the TT circuit is fantastic. I also had the honor of riding on the old track before it was modified in 2006. That version was long, fast and hard, and it was great to drive there. It became a bit more of a regular circuit after that, but it remains a beautiful track. The most special memory? Probably the victory in 2017, my last in MotoGp.”

On next Sunday’s MotoGp race, Valentino Rossi points to the favorite: “I’m going for Pecco Bagnaia!” is the Doctor’s message of encouragement to the Ducatista, struggling after his third retirement in the last four races.
