Indian Wells: women’s final is, surprisingly, Rybakina-Sabalenka

The final of the women’s tournament is quite surprising

It will be Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka who will play for the Indian Wells women’s title, 2023 edition. The Kazakh, winner at Wimbledon last year, managed to eliminate Iga Swiatek from the tournament (6-2, 6-2 the match’s partials). The Pole, defending champion of the tournament and, more importantly, No. 1 in the world, has never been able to play at her level.

Great show of strength also by Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka who earned a pass to the final of the Indian Wells Masters 1000 by winning the semifinal match against 27-year-old Greek Maria Sakkari, No. 7 WTA (6-2, 6-3 the match’s partials).
