F1 Ferrari, Charles Leclerc sees a ray of sunshine
F1, Leclerc clear: “We learned a lot, despite the rain”
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc expressed all his optimism to the microphones of Sky Sport F1 after his second place in the second free practice session of the Australian GP: “Despite the rain we learned a lot. We made several changes on the set-up and I think the feeling is better than in the previous races. It was probably the most positive FP2 for us, which doesn’t mean much, however it makes us end Friday with optimism. Now we have to keep working in the hope of getting closer to Red Bull.”
The Monegasque driver dwelt on the importance of the third session and his feelings for the weekend, “I think we will be close in qualifying. With the rain no one did a race pace simulation, so we will all come in a bit blind on Sunday. We will have to make the most of FP3 to learn as much as possible.”
