Sting for Varese Basketball: the Federal Court penalized the red and white club by 16 points following the referral of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office.
“The Federal Court, following the referral of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office for acts of sports fraud and sports offenses, has applied to the club Openjobmetis Pallacanestro Varese the penalty of 16 points in the standings to be served in the current sports year for not having complied with the payment of all obligations to members contrary to what was produced at the time of admission to the 2022-2023 Serie A Championship.”
“The Federal Court also inhibited the President of Società Pallacanestro Varese Marco Vittorelli until April 13, 2026 (3 years).”
