Cagliari, appeal dismissed: ban on fans in Parma
Parma-Cagliari: ban for red and blue fans
Cagliari will have to do without its fans in the Parma away match. In fact, the rossblù club’s appeal to the ban imposed on the island club’s fans has been rejected.
“Cagliari Calcio expresses its disappointment at the failure of the Parma section of the Regional Administrative Court for Emilia Romagna (Section One) to uphold the appeal filed against the ban on the sale of entry coupons to the “Ennio Tardini” stadium to residents of the province of Cagliari,” reads the statement issued by the Sardinian club.
The club considers such a measure to be entirely incongruous and without foundation, as there is no basis to speak of a justified alarm relating to public safety for Saturday’s match at 2 p.m.
This is a strongly penalizing decision for the Rossoblù fans and one that discriminates in no uncertain terms against Cagliari and all its people, who are eager to follow the team in large numbers, even when away at a decisive moment of the sports season. An absence, that of part of its own people, which leaves the entire Cagliari Calcio with great regret for a management that could certainly have been more attentive to the context and the cases examined.”
