Atalanta, Duvan Zapata has already chosen his future
The 32-year-old striker has scored only one goal this season
In his fifth season in Bergamo, Zapata is having his most complicated year yet. To date, the Colombian striker has scored just one goal in 22 games overall. A pittance considering that, in the previous four years, he always went into double figures (an impressive 28 goals in his first season at Atalanta).
However, the Colombian is doing well in Bergamo and, as he confided to L’Eco di Bergamo, he already has his future clear: “I don’t see myself elsewhere. I’m fine, but I miss scoring goals.” In short, Zapata has no intention of leaving but aims to return to scoring as he has always done. It should be remembered that his contract with Dea expires in June 2025.
