Valentino Rossi apotheosis: comes the most heartfelt tribute
On Friday, May 19, during the TavulliaVale event, the municipality of Tavullia will hand over the Keys of the City to Valentino Rossi: the latest resolution came Thursday night from the city council.
“Valentino Rossi,” is the incipit of the resolution, “is a legend that will remain forever in the history of sport, also for the spectacular rivalries born on the track that have contributed to the passion of hundreds of millions of people for MotoGP. But equally exceptional is Valentino’s influence in mass culture so much so that he can be considered one of the greatest icons of our time.”
“Gifts that are so universally recognized that he received, in 2005, an honorary degree in Communication and Publicity for organizations from the University of Urbino Carlo Bo and, in 2010, the first Winning Italy Award for the contribution to the enhancement of Italy’s image in the world from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The same ministry that in 2021, on the occasion of the Misano Grand Prix, presented him with the Made in Italy Icon Award.”
“Before being a world phenomenon, he is an identity element of this territory. A legend who, in so many extraordinary years of his career and sporting feats, has made Tavullia and our community known all over the world, promoting a municipality of just over 8,000 inhabitants all over the planet. And it is a source of pride that he has chosen Tavullia as the place to live and where to establish the VR46 headquarters with the positive economic spin-offs that this entails,” explained Mayor Francesca Paolucci.
