Jacobs did not participate in the semifinals of the 100 meters at the World Track and Field Championships. The Italian was forced to forfeit due to a muscle problem. A withdrawal that, of course, is a source of great disappointment for the blue champion and all his fans.
“This is a painful choice. I am a fighter and it is with this spirit that I had decided not to miss the World Championships. But now I have to postpone the confrontation to the next important competitions, after a full recovery. To myself and the Italians I make this promise: I will try my best to continue to make you dream,” the words of Jacobs himself.
