Lorenzo Musetti already looks, with confidence, to Roland Garros
Rome already behind, Paris target for Musetti
After being eliminated in the round of 16 at the Internazionali d’Italia at the hands of Stefanos Tsitsipas, Lorenzo Musetti spoke to the microphones of “Sky Sport” to analyze his performance and his feelings ahead of Roland Garros.
“I leave Rome quite satisfied. I think in general the clay court season has started very well compared to last year. I go to Paris with the knowledge and the desire to do well. This year I have nothing to defend, I will be seeded so I will not have Tsitsipas in the first round. I am convinced that Roland Garros can be a good tournament to close this part of the season. I will arrive there well prepared to win matches on this surface,” said the Italian number two.
“Stefanos started very well, especially with his serve and forehand. I suffered his backhand trajectories that never allowed me to get close. With him I feel like I’m reliving the same kind of match. I had many chances, but I couldn’t materialize them, and with a player of his caliber you have to play perfectly if you want to win. Overall I am happy with my performance, but I will have to improve in those small details that will allow me to make the leap forward,” added Lorenzo Musetti.
