Milan-Sampdoria 5-1

Sharp victory for Milan in Saturday’s last advance.

The Rossoneri beat Sampdoria 5-1, consoling themselves at least partially after their elimination from the Champions League semifinals against the last in the standings and already relegated.

Leao unlocked the result in the 9th minute after a play by Diaz. Quagliarella evened the score in the 20th minute, but the 1-1 lasted only three minutes: in the 23rd minute Giroud doubled the score with a header on the development of a corner, repeating himself in the 29th minute on a penalty kick.

After halftime Diaz also joined the party on an empty goal while Giroud completed his personal hat trick and the Rossoneri’s manita.

Milan thanks to this result consolidated its fifth place by responding to Atalanta’s success.
