Monfils skeptical of Sinner and Alcaraz: “Big Three incomparable”
Gael Monfils at the microphones of Game, Set and Talk said he was skeptical of any comparison between Nadal, Djokovic and Federer and current tennis rising stars Alcaraz, Rune and Sinner: “We always want to compare the incomparables. Nadal, Djokovic and Federer are not champions. These guys are legends. People forget that. If we could achieve the same results as them, we too would be legends.”
In addition to the Big Three, Monfils also adds to the legend status two other tennis players capable of winning three Slams in this particular historical period, “We talk about these three players, but for me also Murray and Wawrinka are legends.”
