Hugo Houle from fairytale, Tadej Pogacar doesn’t attack
Tour de France 2022
Hugo Houle came out on top in stage 16 of the Tour de France 2022.
In the first stage of the third week, the Canadian went on a breakaway from a distance and taking advantage of the space given to him by the GC men took a fabulous victory on the finish line in Foix.
Behind, Tadej Pogacar failed to break away from Jonas Vingegaard: the Slovenian put Rafal Majka in the lead to pull ahead, but then did not attack the yellow jersey himself.
The only one of the big boys to break away was Romain Bardet (DSM), who thus said goodbye to any remaining hopes of a podium finish.
