Wladimiro Falcone leaves Lecce
Wladimiro Falcone says goodbye to Lecce. The Italian goalkeeper is returning to Sampdoria, which has exercised the right of counter-ownership.
“U.C. Sampdoria announces that it has exercised the existing counter-option right with U.S. Lecce regarding the rights to the sports performance of the player Wladimiro Falcone. The goalkeeper will therefore return to the Blucerchiato starting next July 1,” reads the note issued by the Ligurian club
Falcone was one of the protagonists of Lecce’s salvation, signing the decisive save in Monza on Christian Gytkjaer’s shot from the penalty spot, which then allowed the Salentini to win the victory and stay in Serie A.
