Inter, Bastoni pledges allegiance to Beneamata fans
The class of ’99 wants to continue many years of his adventure at Inter.
In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Alessandro Bastoni touched on many topics.
He first returned to the Milan Scudetto: “I admit, they were hard images to digest, but that’s normal. Not winning already is bad, if it’s the neighbors from home who win even more so… We will do everything to be the ones celebrating in the city next time.”
Then he commented on the Milanese club’s decision to armor him: “It means so much, so much. I never had the slightest doubt about leaving Inter, here I have everything I need to feel good and express myself at my best: I feel great with my teammates, with the club, I adore Milan, so why go elsewhere? I am happy to be here, I see myself for many more years with this jersey and, in the meantime, I hope to win a lot more.”
An inevitable question about the return of Romelu Lukaku and how he found it: “Romelu we know him, we know what incredible qualities he has regardless of the coach: his physicality makes the difference, but our game will continue to be proactive, offensive, brave, as you have seen. And hopefully, within this system, Rom will score as he always has, a bunch of goals. And to help him he has other great strikers like Lautaro, Correa and Dzeko.”
Finally, a thought on the market rumors surrounding friend and teammate Milan Skriniar: “Milan has integrated perfectly over the years and we have integrated with him in the department we have built together. In addition, he is my best friend in the group. It would be a real shame if he left us right now, I hope he stays. I think we will still do many great things together.”
