Juventus, Paul Pogba’s injury is more serious than expected
Meniscus injury for Frenchman
Paul Pogba may not play in his Juventus’ league opener: after being stopped in training in recent days, in fact, the French midfielder underwent specific radiological examinations, which showed a lateral meniscus injury.
“Following reported pain in his right knee,” the club confirmed on Monday evening, “Paul Pogba underwent radiological examinations that revealed a lateral meniscus injury. He will undergo a specialist orthopedic consultation in the coming hours.”
Pogba will therefore miss the Dallas trip in which Juve will face Barcelona, and will also miss subsequent friendly fixtures. The estimated time of return is about twenty days, which means that Pogba’s presence against Sassuolo in Ferragosto is strongly in the balance.
