MotoGp Ducati, Paolo Ciabatti chastises riders
In target Bagnaia and Ducati riders: “We want more continuity, we can’t be satisfied”
Ducati sport director Paolo Ciabatti to MotoGp.com gave a chiaroscuro assessment of the Borgo Panigale stable’s first half of the season. Ducati has scored many victories and dominated Grand Prix, but is paradoxically lagging behind in the overall standings. “We would like a little more continuity from our riders, right now we cannot be satisfied,” he said.
“Now we have a few less chances to be able to fight for the riders’ championship, we will try, but the level of consistency of Fabio Quartararo and Aleix Espargaró is difficult to achieve.”
On the difficulties of Pecco Bagnaia: “For several reasons the season did not start very well for the official team, the 2022 bike was still immature at the beginning – the words to Gpone -. Our riders then worked to be able to always fight for the podium, especially with Pecco. But the Le Mans crash, the Sachsenring crash and the Barcelona episode weigh on the ranking.”
