Simulates injury, Supersport centaur disqualified
Swiss rider Aegerter suspended by FIM for unsportsmanlike conduct
The International Motorcycling Federation has disqualified Dominique Aegerter from race-2 of the Most (Czech Republic) round of Supersport: the Swiss rider has been suspended for “unsportsmanlike conduct.”
Aegerter, who had won the last nine Motorsport races, faked a concussion after the crash that ousted him from race 1, scheduled for Saturday afternoon. After initially being declared unfit for Sunday’s race, it was the driver himself who confessed to faking his injury to delay the recovery procedure and cause the race to be red-flagged.
The Fim then ousted him from the second race for unsportsmanlike conduct.Aegerter is now trailed in the overall standings by Lorenzo Baldassarri.
