Milan, Luka Jovic strikes a blow after a remarkable 189 days
Who arrived in the summer as a third choice, the Serbian has, at last, given encouraging signs
Jovic was not Milan's first choice this summer. He arrived at Milanello only because negotiations with Taremi and Rafa Mir failed. His impact with the Diavolo è was traumatic. Few minutes on the field and performance not up to the mark. However, with Frosinone, he è finally broke free. His was the goal that unlocked the game, a goal he had been waiting for 189 days.
The Serbian striker, in fact, had not scored since Fiorentina v Roma last May 27. A very long fast that seemed to give strength to the thoughts of detractors, who were sure that the former violet player is not up to Milan's standards. Instead, all of a sudden, è came a goal that could change his story at Milan and, who knows; allow him to stand out.
Pioli believes a lot in his potential: "He has great qualities, now physically he is much better. È a strong player. I try to spur him every day, but he has to demand more of himself", the words of the Rossoneri coach who now hopes to see a different Jovic. Being able to count on the Serbian in attack as well would be crucial for a team struggling with so many injuries.
