F1: Carlos Sainz, third at Suzuka, thanks the clouds
The Spanish driver è finished third after overtaking his teammate Leclerc
.
Another good result for Carlos Sainz who, after his victory in Melbourne, takes home third place in Suzuka, behind the unreachable Red Bulls of Verstappen and Perez. For the Spaniard it is podium number 21 in his career: “We had a good race, I am very happy with the final result. È it was very difficult because of the initial degradation but when the clouds came, those problems disappeared”.
Unlike teammate Leclerc, who finished fourth at the finish, the Spanish driver è stuck to the two-stop strategy. In doing so, è was forced to many overtakes to take the podium. Among other things, he had to overtake, in the final, Leclerc himself to take home the third place finish: “We stayed on the two-stop strategy. È it was hard to make all those overtakes in the race, especially overtaking the Mercedes".
The Spanish driver, in his third place in three races of the season (one he missed due to appendix surgery) is already looking ahead to the next round of the World Championship, which is the GP in China where there will also be the Sprint: "Sì, I think it will be a difficult weekend, on a track where we haven't raced in a while. However, we are doing pretty well. I really think it will beà a good challenge".
