Winning debut in Europe for Vincenzo Italiano’s Fiorentina.
In the first official Conference League match of the year, the Viola won 2-1 against Twente.
In Florence, Nico Gonzalez unlocked the result in the 2nd minute, while Cabral doubled in the 31st minute.
In the second half, however, Cerny shortened the gap for the guests in the 65th minute, postponing any verdict until the return match scheduled in a week’s time.
A week from now it will be known who will fly to the group stage of the third continental competition, won last year by Jose Mourinho’s Roma.
