Serie D launched: nine rounds, of which A and D with 20 teams with a final roster that will include 166 clubs
The Interregional Department has made official the composition of the rounds of the 2022-2023 Serie D: nine rounds, of which A and D with twenty teams with a final staff that will include 166 clubs (pending decisions with respect to the position of Giarre, in any case included in round I). Compared to the custom of the Championship of Italy-which also for this season will be the only one in the national panorama to embrace all regions, none excluded-will be simultaneous with the publication of the competition calendars. The championship will start with the first day on Sunday, September 4. The only exception will be Group I, which will slip to Sunday 18. As for midweek rounds, they will involve all the groupings on two occasions: December 21 and April 6, 2023. The 20-team groupings, on the other hand, will observe four more rounds (for a total of six): September 21 and October 5 during the first leg, January 25 and February 8 for the return. Finally, official schedules have been set: from Sept. 4, the game will be played at 3 p.m., switching to 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 30.
