Moto2 Catalunya GP, Ai Ogura wins
GP Catalonia Moto2, wins Ai Ogura
Boscoscoscuro MT Helmets-Msi’s Japanese rider Ai Ogura won the Moto2 class Catalan Grand Prix at the Montmeló circuit. Second was his teammate, world-leading Spaniard Sergio Garcia. Third, clearly detached, was Britain’s Jake Dixon on Kalex CFMoto Aspar.
With eight laps to go Aldeguer, who è led but was hounded by Garcia, was sanctioned with a long lap penalty and when he was entering the lane to take it he ended up sensationally on the ground.
Meanwhile Ogura when there are four laps left overtakes Garcia who is clearly administering himself becauseé his other direct rivals, Aldeguer and the U.S. Kalex Onlyfans Joe Roberts, are either out of the game or far away.
Ogura, after his second place at Le Mans, returned to dominance in Moto2 after more than a year and a half by taking his fourth career MotoGP victory. Garcia è second and increases his lead over Roberts, who finishes ninth, to 20 points, while Ogura climbs to third at 21 lengths and Aldeguer collapses to 41 points behind.
