Luciano Darderi's adventure at Roland Garros ends in the second round. The Italian tennis player, in fact, è was defeated in three sets by Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor with the score of 7-6 6-3 6-3, after two hours and five minutes of play. After a hard-fought first partial, the rain interruption negatively affected the Italian, who upon returning to the court could not find the necessary countermeasures to put his opponent in difficulty.
The first jolt to the match came from Darderi, who snatched service in the fifth game from the Dutchman. However, the Italian failed to be incisive at the climax, as at the moment of serving for the set there was a lapse of tension on the part of the Italian and Griekspoor took advantage of it to bring himself back to parity. After the break, è the world number 26 got off the court better, dominating the tie-break 7-2.
In the second set, the inertia shifted to the Dutch player's side, who took advantage of Darderi's frustration to break serve in the third game and manage to a 6-3 final. In the third set, the Villa Gesell native has the opportunity to reopen the match in the third game, managing to secure four break points. Griekspoor, however, nullified them with authority and, once the danger had passed, went back to pressing on the accelerator, quickly closing the score with another 6-3.
In the third round the world number 26 will face Alexander Zverev, fresh winner of the Internazionali d'Italia.
