In Dubai, in the quarterfinals, Sinner’s new flame scored her first career victory over a top 5 player, overcoming Coco Gauff in a comeback (2-6 6-4 6-2), qualifying for her first semifinal of the season, her first since February 2022. In the semifinals, she faced world number one Iga Swiatek, prevailing with a double 6-4 and thus reaching her first ever WTA singles final.
In the title match at the Emirati tournament, Kalinskaya è was pitted against Jasmine Paolini for the second time this season, coming out the loser after a tight match that ended with a score of 6-4 5-7 5-7, despite serving for the match in both the second and third sets.
