Ferrari the day after the disappointing Silverstone Gp, which saw Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc finish far from the podium, announced that Enrico Cardile no longer è the technical director Chassis and Aerodynamics of the Maranello team.

“Scuderia Ferrari announces that Enrico Cardile is leaving the company and with it the position of Technical Director Chassis Area. The’engineer, who has been with Ferrari for nearly two decades, has tendered his resignation and therefore, effective immediately, the Chassis Area is assigned to Team Principal Frederic Vasseur on an interim basis. To Enrico Cardile the thanks from the entire Scuderia Ferrari HP for his many years of constant commitment", the note reads.

The farewell had been in the air for weeks, so much so that for Cardile there has already been persistent talk of a future at Aston Martin for some time. In the past, always in red, he had held the positions of Head Aero Development, Vehicle Project Manager, Head of Aerodynamics and Vehicle Project Manager.
