Rafael Nadal skips US Open
Rafael Nadal announced on his Instagram account that he will not play the US Open, the last Slam this year, scheduled to be held in New York on the concrete courts of Flushing Meadows where na won in 2010, 2013, 2017 and 2019.
“Hello everyone, I am writing today to let you know that I have decided not to compete at this year's US Open, a place where I have great memories”.
“I will miss those electric and special night sessions in New York on the Arthur Ashe, but this time I don't think I would be able to give my 100%”.
“Thank you to all my fans in the United States in particular, I will miss you all and see you again another time. Good luck to everyone for the always great US Open! My next event will be the Laver Cup in Berlin”.
