A victory worth the top of the championship.

Toro struck at the Bentegodi in Verona, in front of 23,000 spectators including a thousand granata. Vanoli’s solid team defeated Verona with a 3-2 win signed Sanabria-Zapata-Adams, maintaining their unbeaten streak and climbing to the top of the standings while awaiting Saturday and Sunday’s matches. Torino è was facilitated by the wretched expulsion of defender Dawidowicz, which left Hellas in ten from 20'of the first half on the score of 1 to 1, but then legitimized the victory with two more goals.

On the other hand, Hellas, good at equalizing with Kastanos and reopening it at the tail end with Mosquera, in addition to the rightful expulsion, è was penalized by the lack of the starting midfield. Standings: Torino 11, Verona 6. Next round (sixth day first leg): Torino-Lazio (Sept. 29, 12:30 p.m.), Como-Verona (Sept. 29, 3 p.m.).

First half. Back-and-forth in 11 minutes: great heel by Zapata (9') to launch Sanabria who thunderbolts Montipò with a winning low shot: 0-1. Bentegodi ice cream? Macchè: Hellas corner two minutes later, ball on the edge, great shot by Kastanos in the corner, slightly deflected: this time it is Milinkovic-Savic’s turn to collect the ball from the sack. One to one: we go again. Toro free kick, ball in the corner, which Montipò makes his own. While sending off Dawidowicz rifles a wretched elbow at the far ball to Sanabria: penalty and expulsion of the Gialloblù defender. On the penalty spot goes the same Sanabria who kicks on the post, then the same striker scores on the rebound but the goal is not è valid as no opponent touched the ball before the rebound in the net: canceled 2-1, penalty for Verona. It starts again forò with the Scaligeri in 10. Lazovic takes off on the left side, goes to the middle and hits the net: one expects a diagonal, the ball ends up in the corner instead. Zanetti inserts left flanker Frese for Sarr, trying to rebalance the defensive phase. The ball of the game è granata. 33' Zapata, winning breakaway: Toro ahead 2 to 1. Ilic and his teammates continue to hammer, create but now lack the decisive touch. Three minutes of recovery time. Locker room.

Second half. Zanetti makes the second substitution in Verona: in goes Daniliuc for the exhausted Lazovic. Same film: granata color ball, Verona on the defensive, the clock runs. 15': Sanabria shooting, deflected, corner, nothing done. Toro spins the ball around waiting for the right opening that takes a long time to arrive because the gialloblù are all gathered in the last twenty meters. Zanetti changes again, Vanoli as well at 20': in Gineitis, Linetty and Adams in Toro; Mosquera and Livramento in Hellas. The gialloblù try to throw their hearts over the hurdle, three corners, nothing done. Gineitis, shot from outside directed to the edge of the post, good for Montipò that ends up in the corner. 33': Adams, taking advantage of a defensive indecision, è deadly, closing (virtually) the game with a great diagonal shot. Three to one for Torino. Livramento has the ball to open it again a minute later, loses the moment for the shot, then kicks, ball over the opposite cross. In comes Dembele in the Toro (36'), in the Verona Lambourde (40'). It takes the last mile, Mosquera reopens it in the second minute of recovery but è too late for Hellas.
