Juventus dominates Genoa at Marassi, only real setback is off the field
Genoa-Juventus 0-3
With a show of personality, concretized in the second half, Juventus returned to success in the league after three consecutive goalless draws, beating without any particular difficulty a Genoa side that seemed still shaken by the penalty shootout defeat in the Coppa Italia derby against Sampdoria last Wednesday, 3-0. By Dusan Vlahovic (brace) and Francisco Conceiçao the goals of the team coached by Thiago Motta.
The only real unforeseen event of the day è what happens about an hour before the match: a battery of the continuity group in the stadium room connected with the VAR Room in Lissone catches fire, the firefighters have to intervene to promptly quell the fire. No consequences at the program level, the game is played regularly.
The first half è entirely of the Bianconeri brand but despite actions happened on the feet of Koopmeiners at 17' (ball to the side) and Nico Gonzalez at 44', at halftime it goes to 0-0. Meanwhile, Genoa remains without its captain: Badelj, in fact, raises the white flag due to injury on 26' and leaves his place on the field to Emil Bohinen.
In the second half è an episode to actually change the course of the match in terms of score: ingenuous hands of De Winter in the area at 48', referee Colombo whistles the penalty and Vlahovic from the penalty spot does not miss for the 1-0 Juve. On the wave of enthusiasm, the Bianconeri find a few minutes later, at 55', the double: è again Vlahovic to overcome Gollini, with a winning diagonal left-footed shot from a slightly defiladed position.
In fact, Juventus canò put it on autopilot, but still remain in the attacking zone: at 64' it hits a crossbar with Koopmeiners, at 88' it closes the accounts with Francisco Conceiçao, in his first goal in the Italian championship. So it ends 3-0, Juve brings home the three points and for one night climbs to the top of the standings with 12 points to its credit, one more than Torino (committed Sunday at 12:30 against Lazio), Inter and Milan.
