Scott McTominay blunt about Napoli’s goals
Scott McTominay draws a very first balance
A month after his arrival at Napoli, Scott McTominay already says he is satisfied with his adventure in Serie A and, while not being too unbalanced about the ultimate goal of a team that started with a bad defeat but after six days first in the standings, he sincerely manifests his desire to achieve great results.
"We have a lot of confidence in the group,” the Scot told 'Radio CRC' -, match after match we always look to the next one and keep behind the good things we are doing. We are making progress, we listen to the coach and staff and do what they ask us to do. We reason and make progress match after match, we don’t think about the long term but there’è confidence in the work we do".
"I was very impressed with the level of the Italian league,” he added, “from England I couldn’t always realize it as I can now. I was impressed by the technical levels of the teams but also of the players, starting with my teammates. The teams look good on the field, from abroad you couldn’t fully realize it. There’è a lot of balance at the top, and it’s due to this combination of factors".
Speaking of teammates, two of them are already in the list of the best ever that McTominay himself says he played with: "The strongest footballer physically I played with è for sure Romelu Lukaku – he said -, technically Kvaratskhelia: Khvicha è the one most gifted. As an opponent? Leo Messi".
